['bukkero; italienisch »wohlriechende Tonerde«] der, -s/-s, oder ...ri, Gattung gedrehter schwarzer Gefäße aus gebranntem, außen glänzendem Ton, im 7./6. Jahrhundert v. Chr. in Etrurien, ähnlich auch in Ionien hergestellt. Auf den dünnwandigen, Metallgefäße imitierenden südetruskischen Bucchero sottile (oft mit eingeritztem Dekor) folgt der gröbere Bucchero pesante (vielfach mit Stempelreliefs und plastisch aufmodelliertem Schmuck).

Buc|che|ro ['bʊkero], der; -s, -s u. ...ri, Buc|che|ro|va|se, die [ital. bucchero < span. búcaro = Tongefäß aus einem wohlriechenden 1↑Ton, über das Mozarabische aus lat. poculum = Becher] (Archäol.): schwarzes Tongefäß mit Reliefs aus etruskischen Gräbern.
